Just getting to Oregon was full of adventures. We got a flat tire and because our car is a “special” European troublemaker, we ended up getting towed back to the nearest town to get it fixed. So Joseph got to ride in his very first tow truck (mine too)
And Joshua got to ride ON his very first tow truck inside Gertie.
As if that wasn’t exiting enough, about 70 miles from our destination in Oregon, we heard rattling, a bang, and then whistling from the sunroof. Joshua looked out the rear view mirror just in time to see the whole sunroof fly through the air and crash behind us into a million pieces. Luckily, no one was behind us.
So lucky Joshua and Dad got to spend vacation time tracking down and installing a sunroof obtained from a junkyard.
Look! It works!
